What is the best subwoofer cable and speaker wire for a Denon DHT-391XP system?

I bought this system used and the speaker wire ain't so great. What gauge should I use, is there a specific subwoofer cable I should use? Who has the best prices? I'm kind of all over the place here, but any info would help. Thanks.

14 Gauge speaker wire should do fine. As for the subwoofer cable, get a length of rg6 quad shield & terminate the ends with F to RCA connectors.

I don't believe this new-age stuff about deionized copper mined by dwarves from magical caves in iceland. Good copper cable from an auto parts store, thicker for longer runs.

I received Monster Standard THX-Certified Subwoofer Interconnect Cable yesterday and installed it right away. The 12 foot length is great; I can virtually place my sub anywhere I want. The cable itself is nice and thick and feels sturdy, unlike the cheap cable I use to have. I am not a "Monster" brand fan because their wires are usually way over priced, but I got this thing for about 1/4 what it costs at Best Buy or Circuit City. Given the price and the quality, this was a good deal.
