How do you connect a subwoofer that has different connectors than the stereo?

The back of my stereo has a subwoofer input that looks to be RCA and my subwoofer has a connection that uses speaker wire (pos/neg) that you connect by twisting the exposed wire together. Anyone have any idea of how to connect the subwoofer to the stereo?

Stereo Plasma Speaker – PWM

This is the final, completed version of the plasma speaker system. To get the highest audio reproduction, PWM was used (PWM is linear). The setup is powered directly off of rectified, filtered mains (170 V DC) and draws about 2.27 A. The music output is true stereo as there are two separate modulation and driver stages. PWM is achieved with the TL494, and a modified two switch forward/flyback topology was used for the driver. Frequency response is from about 100 Hz to 20 kHz; the design allows a conventional subwoofer to be attached to get the full audible spectrum. Please let me know if you have any questions.
